Robert Vinson Schnell, 49, of Fritch, Texas, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023 in Amarillo, Texas. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Hansford Cemetery in Spearman, Texas with Rev. Mindy McLanahan. Viewing will be Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Monday, May 1, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Spearman, Texas.

Rob was born on January 22, 1974 in Cherry Point, North Carolina, to Clay Schnell and Pamela Vinson Schnell. He worked as a ranch hand and was a member of Cornerstone Methodist Church, formerly First United Methodist Church, of Spearman, Texas.

Rob is survived by one son, Robert J. Schnell of Amarillo, Texas; his parents, Clay and Pam Schnell of Spearman, Texas; his paternal grandmother, Verna Lee Shirley of Spearman, Texas; his uncle Mike Schnell and wife Patty of Spearman, Texas; and two cousins, Tyler Schnell and Ryan Schnell.

Rob was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Thyra Vinson; and his paternal grandfather, Robert O. Schnell.

The family requests memorials be to one’s favorite charity.
