Jerry Dale Womble, 81, Morse, Texas

Jerry Dale Womble, 81, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2023, at his home in San Antonio, TX. He was born January, 27 1942, in Amarillo TX; preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe Carson “Man” and Dora Lee Womble, his wife Jackie Womble, and son Kent.
Jerry is survived by his daughters Sherry Womble and Cindy Buechner; son-in-law, Timothy Buechner; grandchildren, Greg (Mariel) Buechner, Shawna Corley, Rafe (Ashley) Corley, Morgan Buechner, Joseph Buechner; and great-grandchildren, Adam Buechner, Malachi Buechner, Kayson Corley, Laurel Corley, Kamden Corley, Atlas Corley and Yorik Buechner.
For most of his life, Jerry lived in Morse, TX and was a very hard-working farmer and rancher. As he got older, he transitioned to crop adjusting. He always enjoyed his work and all who he worked with.
While working and raising his family, he was also a kind and caring minister for the Church of God (7th Day). As a member of the Apostolic Council over the years he represented the church in many capacities as well as traveling around the United States and to other parts of the world. He continued delivering sermons regularly up until two months ago.
He will be greatly missed by all.
Jerry is buried at Lieb Cemetery, Hutchinson County, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Morse Community Building or the Summer Camp Scholarship Fund, Church of God (7th Day) 3023 Monterey St. San Antonio, TX 78207
