Charlie Bell, Gruver

Charlie Bell of Gruver passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023. Charlie was laid to rest in the Gruver Cemetery, with Rev. Donald Ward officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Charlie was born on November 16, 1944 to Weldon and Jessie Finley Bell in Hollis Oklahoma. Charlie and Margaret Clawson were married on June 29, 1973 in Guymon, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

He enjoyed his grandchildren, family and farming. His time in the Navy meant a lot to him. Charlie loved collecting coins and knives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Weldon “Dub”and Jessie “Bernice” Bell, step-mom, Linda Bell, son, Phillip Ormon and granddaughter, Andrea Ormon.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Gruver, son, Clinton Bell of Amarillo and grandsons, Tanner K. Thomas of Amarillo, Braiden R. Bell of Fort Hood,Killeen,TX., James Ormon of Fritch, TX. and Xan R. Ormon of South TX.

Family suggests memorials be to Make A Wish, and Ronald McDonald.
