Aleta, known as Penny to most, was born September 11, 1928 in Dodson, TX to Howard William Foster and Grace Tipton Foster. She graduated in the class of 1945 from Guymon, OK.

Penny raised her five children in Gruver, TX.  During her years there she worked at Dean Cluck Feedyard. Later, living in Dallas, she worked for Ed Cox, Jr. Agri-Investment cos.

After moving to Amarillo TX in 1993 she worked for Monte and Katsy Cluck and  spent many hours volunteering at the Harrington Cancer Clinic and serving in many positions with Camp Alphie.
Penny’s greatest joy in life has been her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and her wonderful large extended family and friends. Second to that was working – she always said she is the luckiest person in the world to have had such interesting jobs and worked with some of the greatest people – and never one day of her working career did she ever dread having to go to work.
Penny was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, infant grandson Chad Davis, great grandson Brayden Davis, her sister and brother-in-law, Maurine and Chester Philippe of Guymon, OK, and brother Bill Foster of San Diego, CA.
Surviving are her five children: Jimmie Carl Davis and wife, Mindy, of Gruver, TX, Deana Lee Davis of Amarillo, TX, Sally Lynn Sharp and husband, Mick of Ashland, KS, Terry Max Davis of Gruver, TX, Bonny Sue Schaefer and husband Butch of Pampa, TX. Twelve grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild. Brother John Foster and wife Mina of Poway, CA, and sister -in-law JoAnn Foster of San Diego, CA. Special friends Monte and Katsy Cluck and Marla and Dick Smith. Many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends that are like family – especially all of her friends at Park Place in Amarillo.
In lieu of flowers, Hansford Manor and Hansford Hospice will welcome donations.
The family would like to thank Beth and all the staff at Hansford Manor and the “Angles” of Hansford Hospice.
