Dear Jr. Lynx Ike Tournament fans,

I would like to express my sincerest gratitude for your unwavering support and dedication in making our recent basketball tournament a huge success. Your contributions played a vital role in making this event a memorable one, and we could not have done it without your help.

To our sponsors, First National Bank, Golden Spread Sales Co., First State Bank, Bartlett’s Lumber and Hardware, Texas Farm Bureau Insurance, The Sport Zone, and Hansford County Hospital Pharmacy, thank you for your generous support and contributions. Your financial aid and donations helped us to cover various expenses, from the refs, the advertising, the mobile app to follow results, the awards, and prizes for the winning teams. We appreciate your willingness to help and make our tournament a reality.

To our volunteers, thank you for your invaluable assistance before, during, and after the event. Your hard work and commitment were instrumental in ensuring a smooth and well-organized tournament. Eduardo and Elizabeth Soto, Chauncey and Kippy Parsons, Tony and Maribel Lopez, and Sarah Witten, from setting up the court, managing the scores and clean up afterwards, your efforts were remarkable.

Our students, Johanna Davila, Hector Diaz, Laney Witten, Ella Wilkerson, Stefhanie Lopez, Karina and Karime Gonzalez, Sophie Witten, Hadlee Evans, Brooklynn Flores, Piper Pipken, Daniel Davila, Kinley Shieldknight, who selflessly spent their prom weekend helping take admissions, run clocks or books, and just help any way that was asked, we appreciate you so much.

To our parents, Kristen and Saul Acosta and Detsi Evans, who baked goodies or brought snacks to our ref’s lounge, thank you! We could not have done it without you! Our parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents’ volunteers, Isvy Acosta, Darcy Roberts, Saylee Renick Clarissa Corea, Brooklyn Davila thank you for helping with admissions.

To Tacos Los Socios, Carlos and Javier Baca, for graciously bringing your delicious tacos to feed our refs.

To Spearman ISD, for allowing us to use the facilities, GusBirdwell PTO for kindly taking over the concession stand and feeding all our hungry teams.

Most importantly, The Ike Fund, thank you for allowing us to honor Ike!

To all the participating teams, congratulations on a job well done! Your outstanding performances and sportsmanship were truly impressive. The tournament showcased your talents and skills, and we are proud to have hosted such a fantastic event. We hope to see you again next year.

Overall, the tournament was a great success, and it would not have been possible without the incredible teamwork and collaboration of our sponsors, volunteers, and teams. We are grateful for your support and dedication and look forward to bringing this event for many years to come.

Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Sincerely,

Gaby Ruiz
