Claude Sheets, Jr. 91 of Spearman

Claude Sheets, Jr., 91, of Spearman, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023 in Borger, Texas. Viewing will be from Noon to 9:00 p.m., Monday, March 27, 2023, and from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 28, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at the Church of Christ in Spearman with John Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Holt Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman, Texas.
Claude Sheets was born on February 15, 1932 in Spearman, Texas, to Claud Sheets and Nannie Lou Archer Sheets. He graduated from Spearman High School in 1950, and went into the Army in December of 1953. He went to several engineering schools and then served in Japan at an equipment repair shop. He married Jo Nell Brummett in Clovis, New Mexico on June 30, 1955, and was a member of the Church of Christ in Spearman, Texas. Claude operated a custom hay baling business and ran cattle. Out of necessity for rolling up wire he designed a wire rolling machine. He was granted a patent for the E-Z Roll wire roller. Claude and Jo Nell were the co-founders of E-Z Products Inc. They owned and operated their manufacturing business for 45 years, later selling and enjoying travel and retirement.
Claude is survived by his wife, Jo Nell Brummett Sheets; son Lynn Sheets and wife Denise of Avon, Indiana; daughter Diana Beth Mohler of Albuquerque, New Mexico; son Mark Sheets and wife Charlotte of Spearman, Texas; daughter Lisa Lewis of Christoval, Texas; son Ladd (Claude III) Sheets and wife LeeAnn of Kilgore, Texas; daughter Anne Reynolds and husband Dan of Arcadia, Oklahoma; one brother, Willis Sheets of Round Rock, Texas; thirteen grandchildren, Lindsey Sheets, Kyler Sheets, Jackson Sheets, Sam Ayres, Lacey Dobbins, Russell Sheets, Tori Sheets, Elliott Sheets, Leslie Morgan, Harrison Lewis, Rachel Lewis, Alexis Stossell, and Maddie Sheets; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Nannie Lou Archer Sheets; four sisters, Alice Johnson, Grace Harmon, Frances Cudd and Zola Mitchell; and six brothers, Daniel (Pinky), Martin, Branch, Leroy, Floyd and SB.
