ELECTIONS 2023 - Spearman Community will host a candidate forum for May Elections

On May 6th, there will be local contested elections taking place to elect representatives to the Spearman City Council and Spearman School Board. The local candidates Gruver were uncontested and they will not be holding an election.

In our effort to keep the community informed, the Hansford Reporter Statesman and the O’Loughlin Center have partnered to host a candidate forum on Monday, April 17th at 6:30 pm with Candidates for Spearman City Council and Spearman School Board.

The forum will be moderated by Suzanne Bellsnyder, the Editor of the Hansford Reporter Statesman, and will offer a question and answer session with the candidates running for Spearman ISD School Board and Alderman for the City of Spearman.

Format: Each candidate will be asked to introduce themselves and tell us why they are running. The moderator will then ask the candidates questions that we have received from the community. Each candidate will be given 2 minutes to answer a question and we will take as many questions as time will allow.

Early Voting Starts Monday, April 24, and runs Through Friday, May 2nd, Election Day is Saturday, May 6th.

This event will be the only candidate forum to be held leading up to the May 6th elections. We hope you will make plans to attend and hear more from the candidates about why they want to represent you.
