Elizabeth Holt, 93, Gruver

Elizabeth Holt, 93, of Gruver, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, October 18,2023. She was the daughter of Coy Madison Holt and Eva Alexander Holt, born in Dalhart, Texas, on March 9, 1930. She graduated from Gruver High School in 1947and graduated from the University of Texas in 1952. She taught for several yearsat Pampa and Amarillo schools before returning home to Gruver, where she and her brothers were lifelong partners in a family ranching and farming operation. She was a member of Gruver Methodist Church.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Nick Holt and Pat Holt. She is survived by a sister, Comfort Holt Winders; a brother, Coy Miles Holt; sisters-in-law, Trixie Stout Holt and Georgia Buzzard Holt; and a host of nieces and nephews who adored her.

The family requests that memorials be given to Gruver Methodist Church Mission Fund, Box 977, Gruver, TX 79040; or to Hanford Hospice, 707 Roland Street, Spearman, TX 79081.
